The U.S. IT job market recovered slightly in March after a poor first quarter performance in 2021, according to a new report by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF). With the nation’s unemployment rate dropping to 6.1%, IT jobs saw an uptick of 6,500 positions, driven largely by gains in software and web development, computer systems design, and related services. This marks the first monthly growth since October 2020 and provides a glimmer of hope for an industry that has been hard hit by the pandemic.
