I just arrived on Bitcoin Island (Isle of Man) with one mission: Live entirely on Bitcoin for 7 days. No cash. No cards. Only Bitcoin. But Day 1 did NOT go how I expected… • The first merchant hadn’t used their Bitcoin terminal in over a year • I had to help them set it up again just to pay • Other businesses were hesitant or scared of Bitcoin • Several places listed on the Bitcoin map don’t accept it anymore By the end of the day I managed to buy a bowl of fruit and some water… but dinner was a real challenge.
