We found 7 places so far which had a sticker on their window promoting BCH and bitcoindotcom in that commercial center “Galerias Avila” in Caracas, Venezuela. During the past 3 months suddenly there popped up 200+ merchants on the website of bitcoin.com which are being promoted as BCH accepting merchants. I went to that commercial center with a camera and the truth is apparently different to what is being promoted. Not a single business so far was able to take our bitcoins. These merchants got their stickers weeks ago and nobody ever followed up with them. We ask ourselves why is bitcoindotcom promoting these fake merchants which in the heist of the moment will always prefer to take any other currency… Is it because the expected value of bitcoin is related to its expected utility?
