According to Binance’s own incident report, the $6.3 billion hack began in September when an engineer was approached on a job platform by someone posing as a project director. After a fake HR video interview, a second interview with a supposed CEO ended with a coding test containing zero-day malware. The theft happened on 29 October; Binance says an internal AI tool was also used to reach its wallets. The FBI attributes the attack to a North Korean hacking group; North Korea denies it. Binance says it will repay all affected customers. Would you ever download a coding test from a recruiter? ð’ Sources: Bloomberg: https:// NBC News: https://
