A $150 machine mined a block. It got $246,791 😳

One small machine, about $150, mining bitcoin on its own. The network it was up against ran at 849.2 EH/s around that block, roughly 853 million times its size. On the night of July 10, 2026 it found block 957,382 and took the whole reward: 3.13823506 BTC, worth $246,791 at today’s price. Seven weeks on, ask gettxout about that coinbase output and it still comes back unspent. Nobody has touched the money. Public-Pool is a connection service for solo miners, not a team: whoever finds the block keeps everything, which is why the reward went to a single address. The machine details ($150 device, 995 GH/s, about 8 hours of mining) come from press reports. Type 957382 in the search on btcglobe.live and you get the same block.
