Hong Kong-based exchange ANX has announced the release of the ANX Bitcoin Prepaid Debit Card, which can be reloaded from an ANX account or any of 10 major international currencies, and converted into US dollars while stored on the card. The ANX cards can then be used at any merchant worldwide that accepts debit cards as well as at regular ATMs to withdraw cash. As CEO Ken Lo explains, “We felt it was important to go beyond current offerings in the marketplace and bring something new and innovative to our customers.” E-commerce platform Shopify announced integration with Coinbase merchant services today, providing their 100,000+ merchants with more ways to accept bitcoin payments online.
