Well, its a really clever way to use another countries domain as part of your name, but probably isn’t very good for search engine optimization. Not that it matters, because with videos and other postings, its pretty much gone viral.
There are some sites on the internet that warn it may be a scam or hack your computer. It didn’t appear that way to me. To me it looks like a clever way to draw traffic across their site and hopefully to get clicks on their advertising.
Basically, once you log in, there is a silly little game that you can play once every hour and you will be rewarded with something from a few Satoshi to 0.5 BTC. A quick calculation though will tell you that the expected outcome averaged over a large number of plays it around $0.01 to $0.02 per play. Sure, you could win up to $200 (the BTC payout is adjusted to keep the maximum win at $200 )
There’s also another page where you can gamble ridiculously small amounts of money – as little 0.00000001 BTC. As small as that is, it probably makes the site illegal in the united states.
But the site is probably a great win for its owners. The idea of winning free bitcoin undoubtedly drives lots of traffic to their site and the cost per page view – if they DO payout the bitcoin – is quite small. Probably enough that they can make a nice return on the advertising. Oh, and since you have to give them your email to log on – probably a nice email list as well.
