There’s been concerns in this job market about the labor force participation rate remaining flat at 62.6%, which is still below the February 2020 pre-pandemic level of 63.3%. What appears to be happening is that the aging US population is causing more workers to retire. The good news that I have not seen or read before is that for workers ages 25 to 54, the participation rate is now 83.4%. This is a level not seen since 2007.
