Internet fraud has been around for just about as long as the Internet itself. Each year, cyber criminals come up with new techniques and tactics designed to fool their potential victims. There is one thing in particular that sets fraud apart from other Internet threats like viruses, Trojans, spyware, SMS blockers, spam, etc: the target of the cybercriminals is not a computer, whose security has to be circumvented, but a human who, as we all know, has his/her own weaknesses. That is why no program can ever provide users with 100% protection; the users themselves have to take a proactive stance in ensuring their own online security.
