Man! I hate the way the bankers and all the world governments have yanked
the rug out from under us financially like this. At one time a guy could
just put money away since money tended to be metal and had a value of it’s
own. Then you could just save 10 or 15% of your pay and bury it somewhere.
Then when you were old and could no longer earn what you could earn in your
youth, you could dig up a little at a time and have enough to keep you
comfortable when you were old. These days however, government and bankers
have found a way to siphon the value of your savings off to line their own
pockets and now many middle aged people like me have almost no savings
(since it doesn’t pay to save and they’ve learned that stock market
investing is just a fancy way to lose money) so they’re going to be
destitute when they’re old. With bitcoin however, and the decentralized
exchanges that will pop up around it, we might just have a chance to put
away a little savings before our prime earning years are over.
Good Morning! Learn about how GNO Payments and BitFlyer are trying to
restore Japan’s Faith in Bitcoin After Mt Gox. And there’s a comic at the
end of this show!
Good news but the sound quality made it difficult to understand what you
were saying. It was full of squeaks and distortions.
I’d love to have a bitcoin debit card. In fact I’d love to convert my whole
online banking system to bitcoin. When I get paid, the check would just
flip over to bitcoin. Then I could pay my bills instantly. None of this
waiting for 3 or 4 days for the money to reach my biller stuff should be
necessary these days. Then I could move my monthly surplus into some kind
of vault or an offline wallet.
I can’t wait for the day when we can buy assets and investments with
bitcoin in something like a decentralized brokerage account. Then each
month you can buy what has been temporarily pushed down and take advantage
of volatility. That’s the best way I’ve found so far to avoid being taken
to the cleaners by the high frequency traders.
