In this case, scammers created an email address nearly identical to that of a trusted real estate developer, changing just one letter in the domain name—a capital “I” replaced with a lowercase “l.” That tiny change was enough to trick two senior executives into transferring 40,350 USDT, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar, worth approximately $250,300.
